There is a lot of noise on Facebook. A huge amount and it can sometimes be difficult as both a reader and a business to cut through the noise.In the last month, I have joined two private Marketing groups through an online course I am doing with Marie Forleo. I have also joined an online summit with Casey Lightbody, a health-based group and have been invited to various events both business and personal. My news feed is ridiculously full so when I am using Facebook for personal use.. there is a LOT of noise which has made me think – how do I make my business stand out more.In order to cut through all of the noise, you need to be different and connect with your audience on a personal level. That means blending your personality into your brand and making  the following clear;

  • What you do
  • Why you do it
  • Who you like working with

Being clear on the above will help your Facebook posts stand out and will also provide higher engagement levels based on people connecting with you. We all like to see personality in the brands and businesses that we deal with. It makes us feel connected, it evokes emotions, and when marketing can do this, that’s when people will buy from you.

Ultimately if you want Facebook to work for your business, it’s imperative you inject your personality into your brand. It’s not necessarily about sharing your personal life constantly but showing that you are human will also show that you are real and care about things.As a result, you will find better connections with clients, and they will become more open with you, allowing you to understand their needs better. Once you understand this, you can develop events, products and services that suit their requirements.On another note varying your content between videos, images and links to blog posts will keep readers on their toes and wanting more. Don’t become complacent and remember VIDEO IS KEY. If you are not using it, you need to. Even we started this year!
