Marketing Gold Coast
It’s been 3 years since I moved to the Gold Coast. Three long, sunny, happy years. Best thing we ever did. Only problem was there wasn’t an awful lot of work going around at the time (2010). So I did what many have done before me and started out alone. It has been hard. There has been blood, sweat and tears, highs and lows, good times and bad times BUT it has been worth it!
Marketing Gold Coast – promotional video… gives me goosebumps.
Promotional video… gives me goosebumps.
One of the first things I began doing was speaking to local business owners and other Marketing consultants on the Gold Coast. This gave me the understanding of how Marketing here differs to Sydney and London. Place I was used to. It turns out the principles are the same, but on a smaller scale. The method of capturing your target audience with the right message at the right time still applies.
Although the Gold Coast is a city, there is a lot of business conducted on who you know and how you are connected. Gold Coast business owners prefer doing business with other small business owners. Ones who have been recommended or that they have some connection with. Which is why when it comes to Marketing on the Gold Coast, the networking scene is huge. Members are very active in their own right. There are many businesses I have worked with who purely use networking as a way of Marketing.
Mix up your networking
Having said the above, it’s important to use networking as one channel and include a mix of social media, online marketing and traditional methods to get your messages across.
Any Marketing on the Gold Coast that is carried out, should be carefully constructed to ensure the right audience is being captured. Ways of doing this are finding out where your prospects are hanging out and approach them. If you have products or services that are targeted to the female 18 – 45yrs market, then social media is a safe bet. Socials such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube are all positive markets. At the same time if your business targets other business owners, then look at LinkedIn. Alternativelycheck out the events, conferences, trade press and direct mail to get your message across.
Whatever Marketing methods you use for your business, remember to make it relevant and have fun where possible. The Gold Coast is a diverse city with people from various cultures, many of whom are here to enjoy the beautiful beaches and laid back lifestyle. Encapture that within your Marketing on the Gold Coast and you may just nail it!
