It’s Monday morning and the sun is shining here on the Gold Coast. I’ve had one great meeting this morning and several positive calls and emails from clients. So I am feeling good and ready for an amazing week of helping business owners reach their goals.

Business Education

The start of the year has been busy. However, I haven’t lost sight of my goals for 2015. One of my personal focus points for 2015 is education. I believe that education in all areas of life can only enhance us as individuals.  Last year I spent a lot of time on personal development and business process, whilst I will continue to invest in that area, this year I’m focusing on learning. Learning quicker ways of doing things, more effective methods to achieve results and alternative ways of doing what I’m already doing for both me and my clients.

Through investing in myself and my education in Online Marketing and Social Media, not only am I enhancing my skills, but my clients are also benefiting from all of the juicy, useful knowledge that I share!

For March, I’m focusing on two main areas in addition to the work I do with my business coach:

1. List building

2. Blog writing

List Building

Building a database is essential to any business. It’s something I always talk about with clients as I feel it is fundamental for any business to have a database of customers and prospects, to market to.

In order to help the process, I’ve signed up to Nathalie Lussiers’s build your list in 30 day challenge to help me. I already have a growing database that I communicate with on a regular basis, however it doesn’t hurt to learn different methods of building this list. After all there’s more than one way to bake a cake….

Blog Writing

I love my blog! It’s a part of my business which I thoroughly enjoy. Sharing knowledge and helping clients is something that I truly enjoy and get a lot out of. I like to think that my blog posts help educate and inspire. In addition to my own blog I also write articles for clients websites so I have to be up with all the latest trends and technology.

Last year I had the good fortune to get a ticket and attend the ProBlogger annual event which welcomed 500 bloggers from around Australia for two days of information, education and inspiration. The international speakers were amazing not to mention Australia’s very own experts. There were full time and part time bloggers, food and fashion experts, those who travel and those who are navigating motherhood along with everything in between. It’s a forum where we can all learn from one another whilst listen to expert advice from those who are successfully blogging.

Tomorrow there is a Brisbane Problogger event, which is a much smaller forum, BUT we all have the opportunity to connect and learn again.

The blogging community is huge and growing. The best part? Everyone is so supportive, welcoming and giving with information. My aim out of tomorrow is to learn more about blogging and connect with even more inspiring people.

If you’re heading to Brisbane for Problogger, then please look out for meand come say hello! For the rest of you, I’ll be sharing what I learnt later in the week, so stay tuned.
